کاری ملال آورتر از بحث بر سر بدیهیات با یک آدم دگم و لجوج و بی اطلاع وجود ندارد. باید عمر گران مایه رو مصروف بحث بر سر این بکنیم که مثلا فرق آب با دوغ با دوشاب در چیست؟ من که واقعا حال و حوصله اش رو ندارم و فقط به همین مقدار بسنده میکنم. سؤال : آیا state همان province است؟ یک شخصی که از این موضوع بی اطلاع بوده ولی در عین حال مشتاق یاد گرفتن بوده و نه وراجی و طویل نویسی و مکرر نویسی و فضل فروشی، در اینترنت چنین سؤالی رو مطرح کرده. به این ترتیب:

جواب که گرفته (دیگه نمیدنم این جواب دهنده کمونیست بوده یا ناسیونالیست یا انترناسیونالیست):
It's largely a difference of names - the real difference is how a country works with with it's sub-units (such as whether governors of those sub-units are elected by the citizens of the sub unit, appointed by the national government, or some other mechanism - or whether there's an effective or independent legislature at that level, police, etc.)
The United States doesn't have provinces. There are "Departments" in the US Federal Government, but they are nothing like Departments in France that govern exclusive geographical regions.
When the 13 original British Colonies seceded from Great Britain (or England or whatever it was then), they fancied themselves independent governments (or states.) They did recognize that they were weak though, and thought that forming a loose government through the Articles of Confederation would be enough. After that failed, the existing US Constitution was tried (and then amended, etc.) but the overall design of limited powers remained - with the idea that the US Constitution had limited and enumerated powers and rights, rather than the national government having all power and delegating that to sub-units and citizens.

خلاصه اش اینکه بین این دو تفاوت به اندازه زمین تا آسمان هست یا به اندازه تفاوت الاغ مشد علی و اتوموبیل کادیلاک و معادل گرفتن ایالتهای آمریکا و فرماندار منتخب و اختیاراتش و ساز و کار قانون گذاری درون ایالتی و قضائی و... با استاندار بی اختیار مثلا خراسان رضوی که زیر مجموعه حاج آقا علم الهدی است، کاریه که فقط از عهده بعضی نوابغ ایران گلوبال برمیاد. به رغم همه اینها، سره نویس کمونیست نمای ایران گلوبال اعتقاد داره که چون عقاب هم پرواز میکنه و هم خرمگس، پس هر دو پرنده هستند! با این افراد بحث بیهوده است. استانهای بهم چسبیده آمریکا! جدا که! من درآوردی، لغات و اسامی متداولی مثل ایالت و الناز و المیرا نیست، من در آوردی این چیزهاییه که شما از خودت میبافی. من درآوردی اداهایی هست که با زبان من درآوردیت در میاری. من درآوردی اون کمونیستی هست که با زبانی فرسنگها دور از زبان توده ها صحبت میکنه.
